ENFINGER EAGER TO GET BACK ON THE TRACK

CONCORD, N.C. (May 24, 2010)-After being away from the track for nearly a month, Grant Enfinger is eager to make his career debut at Michigan International Speedway at the ARCA Racing Series Open Test on May 26. Enfinger has demonstrated a liking for 2.5 mile tracks in his No. 09 BeasleyAllen.com Ford Fusion after leading 42 laps and finishing 6th at the Talladega Superspeedway, April 23. Michigan offers a 2-mile speedway that Enfinger feels positive about racing on.

“I'm excited about getting back on the track,” Enfinger said. “It's been a long break since Talledega Superspeedway. Even though it is a long trip to Michigan, I like being able to test beforehand so we are fully prepared.”

Associate sponsor of the No. 09 Ford Fusion machine is Michigan based, Stanley Industries. Based out of Clawson, Stanley Industries is a distributor of more than 40,000 line items such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers, pins, and socket products. They also carry miscellaneous fasteners including studs, clips, clamps, and standard materials like steel, stainless steel, brass, nylon, and aluminum. Enfinger is proud to represent a local company while racing for the first time in Michigan.

Local resident of Michigan is crew chief, Howard Bixman. Bixman is a veteran of the racing industry with nearly 30 years of experience. He has been a car owner, crew chief, crew member, and driver. Prior to working with Grant Enfinger Racing (GER) and the ARCA series, Bixman served as crew chief for the NASCAR truck series and All Pro series. In 2007, Bixman worked with the Ford Racing Driver Development Program. 2010 serves as the first year Bixman has worked with GER. Bixman expects a good run from the No. 09 BeasleyAllen.com Ford Fusion at the Open Test and at the Racing for Wildlife 200 ARCA series race on June 11 at Michigan International Speedway.

“Including myself, I know the crew and everybody is just excited to be back at the track,” Bixman said. “I'm also excited, though, because it's my home state. I feel good about this upcoming test and race. We should have a strong car with the Roush-Yates engine. I think Grant will be as strong a competitor here [in Michigan] as he has been at the 2.5 mile tracks.”

Following the test, Enfinger will return to Michigan International Speedway for The Racing for Wildlife 200. The ARCA series race will be televised on SPEED with additional race coverage including live timing and scoring and radio broadcast through the ARCA Racing Network at arcaracing.com.
