Buster Graham Has Successful Test at Mobile
(Mooresville, NC) January 18, 2012 - It has been a busy preseason for Buster Graham and Team BCR in preparation for the 60th Anniversary season of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. After topping the speed charts during one of the test sessions at Daytona in December, Graham and Team BCR tested their newly built #88 Ford Fusion at Mobile International Speedway last Friday.
Our plan was to come and get seat time and enough runs to get data for race day set up. Rick Crawford worked with me to show me what he thought were the best lines on the track, and after a few laps I got comfortable. The guys at Team BCR put together a really fast car. And this track is great, it is gonna make for a great race here in March said Graham.
The test began at below freezing temperatures, having only reached 30 degrees at the beginning of the testing. It was cold! There is pretty much no way that you can stay warm with two open windows when its 30 degrees and you are traveling at over 100 mph laughed Graham.
Friday's open ARCA Racing Series test at Mobile marked the debut of Team BCR's Rick Bennett as Buster's Crew Chief. The team worked really well together, it was a very successful test. Buster adapted to the track very well and gave us some really good input. Buster was well prepared and very consistent throughout the test explained Bennett on the Mobile test experience.
Team owner, Howard Bixman, added We had a great day at Mobile. Once Buster got comfortable on the track he did really well. I'm proud of Rick Bennett and this team on building a new car for Mobile. Buster was able to turn some really solid laps throughout the day. Team BCR will be going back to Mobile in March as a two team effort with CJ Evans in the #99 car. I want to thank Rick Crawford and his staff for putting together a first class short track facility.
Team BCR will return to Mobile track for the ARCA Mobile 200 on March 10, 2012 with Buster Graham driving the #88, as well as with teammate Charles CJ Evans, Jr returning as driver of the #99 Ford Fusion.
Marketing Partners for the #88 Ford Fusion will include Batter's Dream, an automated ball feeding system (pitching machine) that allows baseball and softball players to maximize time in the batting cage by getting more quality cuts without having to fix a tee. The major benefit of the Batter's Dream batting machines is that it allows batters the freedom to focus on rhythm, stance, timing, and swing speed without the need for a second person. Associate marketing partners will include Ford Racing, RoushYates Performance Parts, and RoushYates Engines.
